Cost and scheduling questions, answered

Most people want two things before they call: a sense of what air duct cleaning costs and how soon someone can come out. Here are the straight answers.

How much does air duct cleaning cost?

Price depends on the property: the size of the home or building, how many vents and branches the system has, and how easily the ducts can be reached. We confirm the quote before any work starts, so you know the number up front. You can see the package breakdown on our pricing page.

How long does duct cleaning take?

Most residential visits are completed in a single appointment. Larger homes, commercial buildings, and post-construction jobs take longer because there is more ductwork to clean and inspect. We'll give you a time estimate when we quote the job.

Is same-day air duct cleaning available?

Same-day visits are available when our schedule allows, so calling early in the day gives you the best chance. If a same-day slot isn't open, we'll book the next available appointment. Call us to check current availability.

How often should air ducts be cleaned?

There is no single schedule that fits every home. Cleaning makes the most sense when you can see buildup, notice odors, have pets, or have recently completed renovation work. If your ducts look clean, we'll tell you so rather than sell you a visit you don't need.

Is duct cleaning worth it?

Sometimes, and not always. Duct cleaning earns its cost when there is something real to remove: a visible layer of dust settling out of the registers, a musty smell that shows up when the system kicks on, or drywall and sawdust that came through during a renovation. In those cases, the debris is inside the ductwork, and it gets pushed back into the room every time the blower runs. Clearing it out is a straightforward fix.

It is not a cure for every air quality problem. If your home is dusty because of pets, foot traffic, or a filter that needs changing, a cleaning will not solve that on its own. Duct cleaning also does not treat allergies or other health conditions. Some companies in this trade oversell it, promising better health or cleaner air in ways the work cannot deliver. We would rather tell you plainly what we will find and what we will remove.

If your ducts are clean, we will tell you so, and you will not pay for work you do not need.

Before any work starts, a technician inspects the system and explains what they see. If cleaning is not the right call, you will hear that from us. If it is, you will get a clear scope and a price before anything begins. Questions about your specific home or building are welcome by phone, and the team can tell you whether a visit makes sense. Health and Air Quality Questions

Duct cleaning removes dust and debris from the ductwork itself. It does not treat medical conditions, and it cannot tell you what is in your air on its own. Here is how we handle the questions we hear most often about allergies, musty smells, and mold.

  1. 1

Can air duct cleaning help with allergies?

If dust, pet hair, and construction debris are building up in your supply and return ducts, a cleaning removes that material so it is not pulled back into the rooms every time the system runs. That may reduce the dust you notice, but it is not a treatment for allergies. If you have breathing concerns, talk to your doctor.

  2. 2

Why does my vent smell musty?

A musty smell from vents often means moisture and organic debris have collected inside the ductwork. When the system turns on, air moves across that buildup and carries the odor into the room. A visual inspection during a cleaning will show whether that debris is present, and we will tell you what we find before any work is done.

  3. 3

What if I see mold in my ducts?

If you suspect mold, do not run the system until it has been assessed. Ductcallhq can inspect and clean the ducts, but mold identification and remediation belong to a qualified mold professional. Call us, describe what you are seeing, and we will advise you on the right next step for your home or building.
